Why does my DVR not give me the option of extending the recording time when I am recording a live event that may run over its scheduled time slot? My DirecTV DVR always asked me when setting my DVR to record a football game "this is a live event, would you like to extend this recording?". Why does my FiOS DVR box not do this?

My Moto QIP-7216 automatically shows me the option IF the guide lists the event as LIVE. However, ther are still lots of cases where a live event is listed as NEW which will not automatically prompt you about extending.

I also miss the Live Event Extend Message that I had with my old FIOS DVR before upgrading to Quantum. Is there any plans to include it in furure upgrades. Also,I also miss having the LAST button return you to a recording...

Yes.

There are plans to upgrade Quantum to the same IMG as the current STBs.

There is a release expected by the end of the month.
