It let's them know that their parent is trying to locate them when they are doing something wrong. The teens know this and there is an app that they downhold to block their location. On your end it will come up with an error code. It's a waste of money, get rid of it. if you want to know where your family is, do it the old way. Have them call you from a land line to get the caller ID. Don't waste your money on these Verizon gagets, they never work right.

I'm starting to think this is a waste of money also. Every since it's been 'upgraded' I've had nothing but problems. There are way too many ways to get around being located and the **bleep** things only works half the time anyway. My bill is high enough...I only wanted this for 'peace of mind' but it's becoming more of a headache!
