FIOS phone -- voice mail outage 48 (!!) hours

My voice mail isn't working -- I cannot reach 1-888-234-6786.

I just had an online chat with a service rep and he said:

im sorry about the inconvenient but our voicemail service is under maintenance at the moment you will be able to access it in the following 48 hrs.

This is pretty awful...!

Congratulations for actually getting an answer! I was just on hold for over a half hour and finally gave up when I saw your post. I tried live chat and was informed there would be a half hour wait there and I was 49th in line! And we are paying for this "service'.
