In Henry County Georgia Verizon's superior coverage seems to have developed several no coverage holes. I have lived in an area around Hwy 81 and Mount Carmel Rd for over 10 years. When we first moved the area the coverage was OK. Around the neighborhood there was minimal coverage and only occasional dropped calls. But through the years the signal seems to have degraded. Now when on Mt Carmel road, just driving by the neighborhood will cause a dropped call. This latest situation seems to have come about since we are now covered by the 4G signal. Has anyone else noticed this type of behavior. It has become very frustrating to continuously report dropped calls and still see no improvement. I have even resorted to the purchase of the original network extender so that we can use Verizon's "superior" signal with in our home. Now with the release of the new 3G capable network extender, I am told that there is no upgrade path on this accessory and that a new one would need to be purchased in order to take advantage of this "even better" signal. It seems to me that we are going in the wrong direction here. If I wanted to use the internet for my phone calls, I could have saved a lot of money and just used MagicJack or Skype.
