So, I previously had Verizon with MSN. Well, after my contract was up, they apparent shut off my internet (I was away from home) and when I came back found that it had been off for about 20-25 days or so. I just called up Verizon for them to "reactivate" it and it seemed not to be a problem.
Well, as I going through things to get Verizon setup on my new laptop, I called tech support because the system was giving me an error message when I tried to download the MSN software again. I spoke with tech support and they told me that MSN was now Windows Live. I told them that I didn't want Windows Live, I wanted MSN and he said, oh it's the same thing. So I said fine, and he did whatever in his computer system and changed my account to Windows Live. Well, I find out with Windows Live, I cannot use Microsoft Outlook to syncronize my calendar, so I call tech support back. Well, their answer was, since the last representative changed me to Windows Live, there is nothing they can do to get me back on MSN. They said that MSN was changing to Windows Live anyways. With that said, I called MSN to find out what the deal is. They told me that Windows Live is the "free" version of things and MSN has a monthly premium charge of like $10.00 a month and that offered the additional features I was looking for. Called Verizon back to give them this information and I just kept getting the run around and they were supposed to have a supervisor contact me, but of course, still nothing.
Anyone else run into any problems like this with their Broadband connection?
