Can see wireless network, excellent signal, yet no internet....Help!!

I have a wireless network that has been working fine for the last couple years. About a month ago, I ran into this issue: my laptops all see my network, register excellent signal, yet I can't do anything, access internet, my work VPN, etc. I had unplugged the phone/DSL connection at the wall to do some painting, and it hasn't worked since. I have a linksys router and worked with them to reconfigure it, but still no go. Any ideas??

Start with the basics. Can you connect to the internet with just the DSL modem without the router? If yes then proceed to adding the router in to the equation. Can you connect know? Please list the steps you have taken so far.

I can only connect to the internet with a wired connection to the DSL modem. When I try a wired connection directly to the router, it shows a LAN connection 100.0 Mbps, packets in and out, but Page Cannot Be Displayed. Similarly, my wireless shows connected, excellent signal, 54.0 Mbps, heavy packets in, but very little out and cannot get to Internet. Is the router bad? If so, why do I see that I'm connected both wired and wireless?? Thanks for your assistance!

You have to set your DSL modem in to bridge mode and setup the router to authenticate whether it be PPPoE or DHCP depending on how Verizon has your account set up.

I think I've discovered the problem.....my DSL modem went kaput midday yesterday, Verizon shipping replacement. I will let you know the outcome once I have replaced it, hoping this solves the wireless issue as well since wireless had been working fine for the last 3 years.
