Just switched over to DSL from cable. I am using the 6100F modem that was shipped to me , connected from phone jack to modem to ethernet port in comp. Everything seems to being running as fast as my cable interent.
I am confused about the connections that are internal - broadband and LAN. When I go into them I seem to have 2 different ISP's and the socket packet transfer in LAN connection is what is showing. Has ethernet connection as unknown. I am trying to download/upload torrent files with Vuze. I am getting great download speeds and it seems to upload but says my ports are closed.
I am new to DSL and not sure how it should be set up for use like that. My interent is running great so I am happy with that.
