Periodically my internet will just completely stop. I will open a internet explorer webpage and it will say cannot connect or some other crap. The only way to get the internet back going again is to shut down the modem for 20 seconds and start it up again hoping that it will connect back to internet. I have 2 computers that are hooked up wired to the modem but only 1 is on most of the time when this happens. And when it does happen I turn the other computer on and no internet there either so it can't be the computer. Cause they both don't have a connection. I'm thinking that there might be something wrong with the modem as for when I first got it this never really happened but each day that passes the problem gets worse and worse. Then again I've only had the modem 3-4 months. I don't want to exchange it nessesarily cause then Verizon will tell me there was nothing wrong with the modem and bla bla bla I will get charged for the replacement. I don't know what else to do. Could it be something on the computer? Could the modem be acting up? I have filters on all phone lines except the line going to the modem. I regularly check my computer for spyware/adaware/malware/and viruses. Is anyone else having this problem? Has anyone else done anything to solve this and what was it? Anyone have any suggestions at all for me? Thanks
