I have the Westell 7500 wireless router. I am moving my existing business VOIP telephone service to my home location (I have static IP). The phone is set up properly and is working in "Basic Mode". My router is blocking connection to a TFTP server (which supplies my phone's service details, like callerid, etc...). I get a "connection timeout" on the phone (Cisco IP Phone 7960). It is not the phone since I cannot use TFTP from my PC either. My telephone service provider says that the router is blocking this port / protocol. Today I found that the same phone works on Verizon DSL with a ActionTec router at another location. So my problem has to be in the router. I looked into the Westell manual and found some stuff about port forwarding, but frankly I am hesitant to make serious changes (since I have already extended my expertise to get this far).
Any help would be appreciated.
