Had two land lines, got rid of one that had DSL and moved it to other line, which also had a distinctive ring for my fax. when called says disconnected, but still is active. How to fix
The line will still be active. If you pick up the phone you will have dialtone. This is because a distinctive ring is not a separate phone line. It is a second telephone number that rings the main line. To get it reestablished, the sales department would need to be involved. If you need further help, please send me a private message.
