Westell/Dell wireless issue

I bought a new Dell Inspiron 1420 and have been unsuccessful in getting it connected to my existing Verizon wireless network. I've already uploaded the patch for the software upgrade to my Westell 327W router and still no luck. I'm clueless and BestBuy want's $130 to troubleshoot.....NOT IN THIS LIFETIME!

Are you using Windows to manage your wireless or the Dell wireless client?

Yes, I'm running Windows Vista on the Dell. All my other computers connect to the router without problem. None of them run Vista though.
