No dial tone

We have no dial tone, The one phone we have which connects directly into phone line flashes to indicate an on hold call, disconnected or another phone in use. All other phones are disconnected. This same phone will work if plugged into Verizon box outside

If it works fine with the phone plugged in on the outside box, that means the trouble is located inside the house. It could be the one phone jack inside is bad. Try taking this phone to another jack in the house to see if it works. Please private message me if further assistance is needed.
