modem installation software for mac just freezes up..

Header says it all.... I'm upgrading to a combined modem / wireless router, and it automatically takes me to the verizon website. It then downloads a big old disc image, and wants me to start the installation software. When I open it up, it just tells me that its downloading software, and it will be right with me. That's as far as I have gotten....

Help!!!

I tried installing my daughter's new Verizon DSL software on her Mac today and got exactly the same thing...started with the Verizon install CD...then it takes you to the Verizon web page where you enter the telephone that the DSL is on and the account ZIP and then it downloads the same install program that is on the CD...then it just spins saying that it is installing but nothing else happens.

You probably noticed there are issues with the software and Apple computers.
