Verizon not honoring Amazon offers

I just left Comcast due to shady business practices, and came to Verizon partly because of the Amazon offers they were offering. I have tried for hours now to redeem the free prime offer as well as the free echo dot offer and have had no luck. This seems like a sc@m to me.
