I have had the same phone number for close to 40 years. I never had a need to change my phone service until recently. About 2 years ago I was looking to upgrade to FIOS, since it was available in my area (even though I know 2 different people that live less than 2 miles from me that have FIOS) I looked at the other speeds that were offered. I switched to what I thought was a faster speed. Ever since then My speed has been considerable slower, always seem to lag, constantly disconnected and had to reset my router twice in 2 days. I can't connect to the WI-FI in my own house. I never had a problem before this.
I have made 3 different attempts to resolve this issue with costumer service. I keep getting the standard responses with no real help. My next door neighbor can connect his PS3, 3 different computers and use the WI-FI to connect with their cell phones all at the same time and no one lags or gets disconnected.
This is my last attempt to fix my issue. My DirecTV contract just ended. If I can't get my DSL speed back to where it was. I will start to look for a new provider for my internet, TV. and phone. I'd prefer to not change providers but Im left with no choice
This is my current status on Westell 327w modem and Im paying for speeds 1.1 - 3Mbps. As you can see I'm not even close to that.
