Routine disconnects

This has been happening for several months now, at certain times of the day the DSL will go out. It appears to be on some type of schedule because it seems to happen daily in the 4am or 5am hour and the 8pm or 9pm hour.
What will happen is the connection will drop out for about 30 seconds to a minute, automatically reconnect, and then do it again two to four more times spaced about 15 minutes apart.
Originally I thought it was a problem with the modem that Verizon had sent since I saw many references to problems with that particular modem. The disconnects at that point were totally random and replacing the modem did fix a lot of the stability issues I was having. Now, with the new modem, I've found this sort of schedule that's been going on.
I've tried all of the troubleshooting steps that I know and a some others that I've found online but nothing seems to help. I haven't called customer service yet because I was hoping not to go through that hassle so this is my last try to see if anyone has any other ideas.
I do not have any kind of scheduled things going on (that I've been able to find) that would cause the issue. It's not street lights and not random at this point so I don't think it's line noise.

Below is the router's recent activity log, you can see a couple of the disconnect events here. The AddPortMapping requests are coming from my wife's computer but that doesn't appear to be the problem because the disconnects happen even if that computer is off. Unless someone knows better, I read that this activity is a Win7 thing. I did try shutting down just the process that causes it too but it just restarts automatically about a minute or so later.

So please let me know if there's other diagnostic info that you want to see or any questions that could help the issue. There do not appear to be any connection issues during the day (just early morning and primetime) and no problems with speed. This just gets to be a real issue with online gaming (disconnecting during group content is a problem) and if I watch anything streamed after a certain time but the disconnects still happen even if I'm just on Facebook or another website too.

The next step is: Can you provide the Transceiver Statistics from your modem?

If you don't know how to get that info:

a) What is the brand and model of your modem?

b) If you have a RJ-45 WAN port router connected to it: What is the brand and model of the RJ-45 WAN port router?

It's a Netgear DGN2200v3 modem/router. The one I had up until about a month ago was whatever cheap Westell that Verizon sent me a few years ago.

Here are the stats:

As I said above, the disconnects were totally random with the old modem/router. It improved greatly with the Netgear but I started to realize that there was some regularity to the fewer disconnects.

Your line isn't even synchronized at the correct speed for the 10Mbps package, so that explains what you're seeing here. The disconnects are caused by the fact that your line is running marginally, and has little room for variance. Your line capacity (basically, how much it can carry) changes throughout the day in very small incremements as the weather/time of day changes. It should never change in huge swings, though. A noise margin of 6dB is not very good, although lines such as mine have beeen seen as stable for months at such levels. Regardless, most DSL equipment will disconnect and re-connect at a lower speed if the noise margin falls below 6dB for too long.

Consider running the NID test dslr is mentioning above to see if your statistics as posted above improve, and also consider any additional devices that you have, which work on a time-of-day system. Alarm systems and satellite receivers can use your telephone line on a routine basis, and if these devices are not filtered correctly, will cause the DSL to disconnect.

Away from that, you can consider having Verizon check to see if they can pick up on any sources of noise, especially if this was originally never a problem at 10Mbps. Otherwise, the solution is to drop the speed to 7.1Mbps / 768kbps, where your line should stabalize, as attenuation is suggesting your line is just a little bit over two miles long, a good distance to even be getting 10Mbps service.
