Any Linux users out there

Although I use winXP, my husband uses Linux. He knows a lot more about networking than I do and wants to set up an internal network using Linux firewalls and clients. Does anyone out there have any Linux boxes attached to their dsl setup, and how does that work for you?

I have five computers in my home, three laptops and two desktops, all use Linux (NO WINDOWS). all are networked and connect to the internet using a verizon/westell 327W DSL modem/router..It all works great including the wireless on the laptops. I use Mandriva linux on all the computers.
