After good years with Verizon the past two weeks my connection has been lousy, and very inconsistent. Most of the time surfing speeds are the same as they ever were, plenty fast. Sometimes it is very slow, but always lots of spikes. My downloads often start at 250kb, only to slow down to 20k before they are done, especially longer files over 2 meg. It is like having a 56k connection for downloading music and videos.
Nothing has changed on my computer, and all the equipment is set up correctly, as it always has been. The connection remains strong, but downloading is.
I'd appreciate any help as I have emailed Verizon several times, and all I get is robot mail telling me to do things I have already done. I have asked if there is a problem with the routers, or if ours are overloaded, I have yet to get a human response. I realize the dumb questions tech support gets, but I mean an answer would be nice.
