Landline rings twice then stops

Hello, I'm having a problem where both my phones at home only rings twice to signal an incoming call and then stops. However, you can still pick up after the ringing stops and making outgoing calls are fine. I also have an answering a machine but calls are no longer going to voicemail, instead it just rings and rings. Anyone know the problem? Thanks.

Sorry your having this trouble. I will be glad to look to see if Verizon Voicemail is intercepting these calls or if theres some kind of short on the line. To check this, we need your account information. I have sent you a private message to get that from you.
