Routing BroadbandAccess and expected speeds

Hope you all can help.

I just bought the 5GB service and a USB727 Modem.

I obviously don't have it yet, but I have a couple of questions.

I will be installing the modem on my desktop computer and would like to make this wireless so that I can use it on my two laptops as well. The question is how? I know how to do it with DSL, but how do you share the BroadbandAccess if your using a USB modem? Could I use a tradiontal router hooking it to the ethernet port on my desktop and then share the connection in Windows?

I have Vista Home Premium 64bit edition.

I also looked at the coverage map and I'm in the Broadband Access roaming area. What kind of speed can I expect and will I have an issue with extra charges because of it?

Looking around, I found several things.

#1 According to http://www.evdoinfo.com/content/view/2114/40/

It is a Verizon USB727 EVDO Modem.

#2 Since EVDO, is a type of cell phone service...

Two Note(s).

#1 While I do not use any EVDO (cell phone) to get online, my research says there are EVDO (cell phone) routers out there.

#2 You may find using a router is easier and safer than using ICS (Internet Connection Sharing), or a Proxy server on your computer...
