I have been using MSN Explorer for years (with Verizon) but in the last year I have had so many problems. The most recent which occurs in every session at some point or another is it just STOPS and won't allow me to do anything -- be it send an email, finish a sentence in a message, get to a website, etc. The Message is "MSN Explorer is Not Responding" at the top of the screen. In a minute or two a box appears and gives me the option to CLOSE or to WAIT for it to respond. The latter is rarely successful and I have to simply disconnect. I am running Vista Home Premium. My husband has XP, and is on the same Verizon Account using the Explorer Browser, and he has the same issue daily.
I have contacted CHAT TECHS and also by phone. THey always want to "get in my computer" and check out various things such as delete temp files and cookies, but NEVER EVER solve the problem. I have repeatedly asked via chat and via PHONE to be turned over to the MSN Team they claim to have, but I'm either disconnected from CHAT or on the PHONE. Once the Verizon Agent promised a phone call to my home at 1 p.m. by an MSN Tech == no call.
Does anyone have any help for me? I have the very latest MSN Browser and also latest IE Browser. I run AVG virus program. My Best Buy Geek Squad buddy finds NOTHING wrong with the computer -- it's in this darn MSN software. And contacting the "regular MSN team" does no good -- they say I must contact Verizon agents.
Thanks to anyone who responds.
