Web cams and connectivity.
Summa92
I have a Logitech QuickCam Pro 4000 and I have yet to figure out how to get connected with other cams. I have tried port settings, security software changes and various video web chat applications. I am always getting some error message related to connectivity with servers. The cam software is the most up-to-date and it passes all of its internal tests (e.g., video, microphone and sound), but to no avail. By the way, the person I am attempting to connect with is also a Verizon customer. I am currently using the latest version of Trend Micro Internet Security Pro 2009, I have tried IE, AOL and Firefox as browsers--all the latest versions--and I have used AIM and Yahoo and Skype. Please advise me or direct me to someone who might be able to help. Thank you.

Temporarily shut down Trend Micro Internet Security Pro 2009. Try your camera and see if it works now. I use the same camera in Windows live and it works fine.
