connecting a new laptop

I have a Westell 6100 modem and my computer is set up for wireless networking.

I have a computer downstairs and one upstairs on the wireless network.

Can someone tell me how to connect a msi wind laptop to my wireless

network. Thanks so much.

Oh also have a d-link router wbr 1310. I keep getting disconnected from tech

support.

Any help is appreciated.

Is the D-link already setup with the 6100?

Then all you need to do is access the D-link router and setup the wireless security you want to use. Once you do that write down the code. Open up your laptop's wireless software and scan for the D-link's SSID. Highlight the SSID and click connect and it will ask you to enter the wireless security code you wrote down previously.
