Can't add attachments to e-mails on webmail.verizon.com

I am using a MacBook running Mac OS X Version 10.5.8 with all recent updates. When using Safari Version 4.05 (5531.22.7) I cannot attach any documents to outgoing e-mails under Verizon's new webmail format. clicking on the blue word "Attach" with the paperclip next to it (located to the right of the Save, Save Draft and Cancel buttons) yields no result. At the bottom of my screen run script "." shows up just as it does when I click "Compose Mail" (clicking on "Compose Mail" does result in bringing up the screen for a new e-mail). I have Plug-ins, Java and JavaScript enabled in Safari preferences.

The "Attach" command does work when using Firefox on this same computer.

I have spent time with on-line live support with no resolution and cannot find anything in these forums.

Hey since the attachments work on Firefox then its an issue with the Safari application.

Not that this will help you very much I guess, but I just successfully created an email in Verizon webmail and attached a file using Safari 4.0.5 under Windows 7 and sent and received it just fine. I have Apple Java Plug-in and Java Deployment Toolkit plug-ins installed and active, do you (Hasve no idea whether these apply to a Mac environment)? L:ike you I also have Java and Javascript enabled in Preferences. Maybe something with Java (or Javascript) has something to do with it not working for you.

Just a thought....
