I have Verizon HSI/DSL, and multiple wireless devices working off of the WiFi signal from the router. One of those devices had been my Verizon Wireless smartphone, but about 3-4 months ago it suddenly could not connect to the WiFi in my house. The smartphone has no trouble connecting to any other WiFi signal (ie: relative's homes, starbucks, hotels) and no other wireless device in my own home (wife's smatphone, tablet, playstation, smart tv) has any trouble connecting to out HSI/DSL WiFi signal.
When I check the WiFi on my phone it sees the network, but is perpetually in a state of 'connecting'. If I forget the network and then search for available WiFi connections it picks up my HSI/DSL with the strongest possible signal. However, as soon as I enter the WEP key and click connect the signal strength instantly drops to almost nothing and it again perpetually says 'connecting, and will never actually connect.
It doesn't seem to be a problem with the phone itself since I can connect to any other WiFi network, yet my home network doesn't seem to be a problem for any other device. The only thing I can think of is the there is possibly a limit on how many wireless devices can utilize the the router wirelessly. I appreciate any guidance. If it is a limitation on the number of devices I am looking for confirmation of that theory, as well as any possible resolutions.
