I have a Westtell 6100 DSL modem for years, and recently, my connection has becoming very unstable thourght out the day, it was frustrating because I was unable to browse the internet without disconnections. The problem of my issue is that the DSL light on the modem would blink for around 10-20 seconds and disconnect me from the internet, and then it become solid again after the 10-20 seconds period. This issue occurs very randomly, sometimes the DSL light would go solid for 5 minutes and started to blink again, and sometimes the DSL light would just blink again after a minute after it reconnect to the internet. This intermittent drop of connection cycles frequently through out the day, I've been trouble shooting the issue for a week now, such as replacing the old phonejack connecting to the modem, but nothing works, how can I resolve this issue?
