"High Speed" DSL suddenly slower than 56k dialup!!!

I haven't been complaining for a long time, ever since my local Verizon service tech got me a "home run" for DSL. But the last few weeks, it's slowed waaaaaaaay down. Internet pages often take over 55 seconds to load; changing pages sometimes takes longer. I have Win7, fast PCs with planty of RAM -- one ethernet connected, the other wireless. I've defragged, rebooted, cursed, raged, even called Verizon on the phone -- and boy was THAT an adventure, trying to explain my problem to "Dan" from Mumbai.

My Router is an ActionTech GT784WN;

the Downstream rate showing is 3360 Kbps

the Upstream rate showing is 864 Kbps

Has anyone else had the same problem lately?

Your speed seems fine if you're paying for 3Mbps. It's possible we can get that to go higher which we can address later.

To start, on any one of your Windows computers, please do the following.

Go to Start > Search "cmd.exe" and run the command prompt. Next, run the following command:

pathping 4.2.2.2

OR

pathping www.google.com

Then press Enter. Once the command finishes, right click on the Command prompt WIndow and do a Select All. From here, paste the results to this forum and be sure to remove your compupter's username if you wish to do so.
