I Have a Yahoo Email Account That Has Been Hacked

I have a Yahoo email account that has been hacked, does anyone know how to get this resolved? Yahoo does not seem to have any support for email anymore. TIA

Simple answer, you just create another email account. Or what the providers tell you is to go into your email account and change the password. However I would just make a new email account with a very strong user password using upper and lowercase letters and numbers and symbols. Make sure you write the password down for your own use.

Not as simple as that sadly. When I try and login it will not recognize my email login, or my backup email or my phone number. Yahoo seem to have outsourced the support, I've spoken to this company who confirm the account has been hacked, and claim that I need to pay $150 for a level 5 technician to fix the issue. This just seems like extortion or a scam. Can't seem to find any way of getting Yahoo (now owned by Verizon!) to help. Suggestions welcome...
