How often are the lines tested for speed capacity, so that download performance can be optimized. I recently had my lines repaired yet again due to voice static and in the end Verizon has now dropped my performance to a level lower then when there was static on the line. The tech insists that there is nothing he can do, and refuses to believe I ever had faster service. While the line men say see you in a few months when the lines break yet again. I just want to get back to 1.8 mps from 1.3 and FIOS will never be installed in Brookhaven regardless of what the techs say. In the end it appears that Verizon just wants out of the home phone business.
