Very Disappointed with FIOS sports programming.

Once again, I agreed to another 2 year contract just before College Football season and once again I'm suffering buyer's remorse.

Last week was subjected to watching my team on standard definition because Verizon won't carry CBS Sports Network in High Definition.

This week, I couldn't watch my team at all because Verizon is carrying the Pac 12 Network.

I am paying WAY too much each month to not have MAJOR sporting eventsn available on other provider networks. especially during football season.

what are you talking about?verizon does not carry the pac -12 network ,what game were you trying to watch? with clollege football theres a lot of channels showing different games .maybe you just need to do a search to find out what channel your team is playing on.

That's exactly my point...Verizon does not carry the PAC-12 network which broadcast the USC - Boston College game this past weekend. Those of us that have Verizon were not able to view that game.

Correction to PAC-12 Network comment: It should have read: Verizon IS NOT carrying this network. Sorry about the confusion. From what I understand there are additional upcoming USC and other PAC-12 games that will be broadcast on the PAC-12 network in the coming weeks and once again, we Verizon customers won't be able to watch.

I believe the issue on PAC-12 is that Verizon does not want to pay them to be anything but a regional sports network, but PAC wants national coverage. I'm a CFB fan, but the PAC-12 only has a few good teams. Boston College vs. USC? Yuck, they both stink.

The delay in getting a deal done wakes me think that PAC12 also wants more than one regional channel plus the main channel to be carried in PAC12 areas. I don't imagine Verizon would have a problem carrying only the main channel for the rest of the country for pennies per subscriber like they do with BTN, but I guess PAC12 has other ideas in mind. Verizon has shown that they are open to carrying college based "regional/national" channels like with how they carry BTN and its overlow channels, and Longhorn Network.

I'd buy the argument that Verizon carries Longhorn and Big Ten and therefore they are sympathetic to the expectations of college football fans up until I see that Time Warner, Cox, Dish, and another dozen smaller providers have managed to sign on to the Pac-12 network. I don't know or care to understand the contractual haggling and one upmanship that underlies the negotiations of these things. I just know that I can't see games that I'd like to see without tapping into neighbor who has the game, say on Time Warner, or going to a sports bar.

I agree...I like their internet but I should've never switched from Dish Network.

Verizon could easily add them to that special sports package they have...I'd pay extra to have it.

I wish they would put ALL the sports channels on their own tier. Then the people that want all of them could pay for them instead of the majority of people subsidizing the cost for a minority of people.
