Does anyone have any information on the pricing for the 2013-2014 NHL Center Ice package?
Anything new I should know about it?
I'm not getting much in my internet research
I just ordered the package the other day. $44.99 over 4 months =$179.96
Just moved to VA and glad I will be able to watch the Flyers
how are they saying "this is the lowest price in 5 years"?
CI has never cost as much $180
NHL can't get out of their own way.
Pathetic.
I am a fairly new to Fios, and I was wondering about the range of offerings for Center Ice. I know from talking to friends that a lot of cable networks often only show one feed in HD, and sometimes one of the feeds isn't available at all. Up until recently I was a DTv customer, and they essentially broadcast every feed available, including both the home and away feed in HD. Usually the only time you got SD was if it was a Canadian broadcast. DTv was even know to pipe in the stadium feed with a radio broadcast for games that wern't otherwise televised.
Just am curious what kind of options I can expect to get from Fios if I subscribe to Center Ice.
Can I sign up for this online or do I have to call?
Is there a free preview this year?
I don't think $180 is so bad, but definitely think after the lockout they should seek less
The problem is the only way the teams and league are making bigger money is TV deals so they have to charge a lot
There is a free preview according the Center Ice website (where they advertise it for $39.99/mo FYI) running from Oct 1-19. I tried getting that up and running, not sure if the system didn't process yet, or what the issue is, but when I go there, it says I need to order CI.
Calling them didn't help at all, I was told it should be enabled, then transferred, where I was told it should work. They then went and changed their opinion of that and said I probably need to upgrade to the package with the NHL Network (for $30 extra a month... I have Prime HD) to enable that, but it did not sound exactly like they were sure. Will check tonight it the switch magically flips or something, in the worst case I'll skip. MSG has all Rangers games anyway.
I have the Extreme HD package which includes the NHL network and I am also getting the same error on Center Ice. That I need to subscribe. I will be calling them if the free preview is not fixed by 7:00, don't want to miss the Habs vs. Leafs game!
I just went ahead and subscribed online. After payment and a reboot I was informed that my set-top box was not compatible and I have to order a new one. So no HD while I wait for the new box (There goes my watch party for Thursday), and I am going to have to wipe my DVR.
As a sports fan, I am totally unimpressed with FiOS thus far.
That is ridiculous. How can you box not be compatible? Don't feel bad, I am still not getting my Center Ice channels and have rebooted several times. Probably won't come on till tomorrow. So watching the Hawks ceremony and game instead.
WHOHOO, got it finally just came on. But I just missed coach's corner
Online support just told me that to get the NHL Preview I'd need a certain type of premium service, like HBO, Showtime, or NFL Network. When I told them I get all of them, they said I need SUBCRIPTION SERVICE: NHL. When I asked what that gets me, they said that gets me Center Ice.
So, I need to pay for Center Ice to get the free preview of Center Ice? That doesn't make sense.
I hope they're prepared for my phone call tomorrow.
right, but there is no way for someone in Philadelphia (Abington) to actually pay and get MSG, right?
