Verizon dsl-I'm ready to call it quits.

I see many posters on here are having issues with connection speed and disconnect. I have been dealing with this for 2 mts. I have to reset my router minimum 3 times a day, max prob 10. Today already it's been 6 and it's early afternoon. My neighbors have same issues so it's not me going nuts. I pay these ppl $50+ a month for very unreliable enhanced (ha) service. I feel like I've gone back 20 yrs trying to get on the internet.. and stay on! I'm ready to call comcast and give them a try. I can't deal with this another day. It's so time consuming trying to do anything. Has anyone ever gotton verizon to fix this connection issue recently?? Anybody?? ...crickets...

DSL needs to have micro-filters installed at every jack in the house and at the alarm system. The only place that doesn't get a micro-filter is the DSL modem itself. If you hear any noise on the phone line after these filters are all installed then you have an issue on the line which is either a problem in your home wiring or Verizon's network at which point you need to take a working telephone and go to your Network Interface Devive and plug in there at the test jack. If you hear noise it is Verizon's problem if you do not hear noise then it is a problem inside your house.

I doubt this many users suddenly (in past 2-3 months) have home wiring issues. Neighbors have the same complaints (it's said above). Yes microfilters re installed everywhere except on DSL line. Yes we (like this victim above) have tried connecting the DSL to various jacks in the house and moving the phone lines elsewhere. This is starting to be an epdidemy. On-site visits to check phone lines (if any Verizon technician really comes and truly checks) have done nothing. (other than billing revenue for Verizon). This recommendation may be interesting: please explain: "go to your Network Interface Devive" Do you mean the WIFI box?? There is one Phone jack in the back an 4 ethernet jacks... nothing labelled "test jack" so what are you referring to??

Again the symptom is sudden drop: for example I play an on-line game called World of Tanks. It keeps reporting FPS and PINGS. The Pings are OK for a while (80-150msec) and suddenly explode to 250-999msec and the speed is gone until we reset the WIFI box. (That is with all other WIFI devices in the house already turned off)

The Network Interface Device is the grey box outside if you live in a house. If you live in an apartment it is a rectangular ivory colored jack. Not all apartments/houses have them but if you do that is your demarcation point.
