Low Pass Filter

I have a Ceton InfiniTV4. I contacted their support and was told I should look into getting a "Low Pass Filter."

What does a "Low Pass Filter" actually accomplish with FiOS TV?

I can't really find a clear answer on this and was wondering if they're just blowing smoke or if it will do anything for me?

The purpose of the LPF would be to prevent the Ceton tuner from seeing the MoCA signals. You would want a LPF with a cutoff of about 900 MHz (video uses up to 860 MHz).

It looks like needing the LPF was a false alarm. I've been told that the tech support looked into it further and the version (firmware?) of the InfiniTV4 that I have, doesn't need one.

HERE'S HOW I FIXED THIS

I have a Ceton Infinitv 4 and I was experiencing horizontal pixelation every few seconds on certain channels (Travel HD, Food Network HD, EPIX HD, etc.

Everyone kept talking about this low-pass filter but I really didn't want to have to call Verizon and get a truck roll, etc . etc. I was surprised that I couldn't find a single Low Pass Filter on the internet that other Fios customers had tried and worked. This is apparently the one that Ceton recomended in a message board buried on the internet (took me an hour to find it).
