for the past few months my dsl speed has been steadily getting slower and slower. in the past two months ive had to call customer service and deal with the run around of what i assume is a script of **bleep** they memorize to rattle off when theres a problem with their service. It always starts with well our computers say theres no issues in the line. to which i reply yup i know because im on the phone with you right now. then they tell me well maybe ill get more speed if i run around the house and unplug all the wires and reconect them. (I know it makes no sence why a wire that was never touched could suddenly need to be played with to fix incoming internet steams.) So i humer them and do it or at least i did the first time. then after explaining that non of this worked they tell me well im already at the max speed. Now heres where the lies deffinatly start rolling in. I pay for 1.1-3mbps and when these problems happen my speed drops down to 0.31 or around there. If this is the max speed then maybe i should only have to pay 1/4 my bill? anyway at the end of this long pointless back and forth the tech always goes well let me try this then run a speed test and tell me where your at which i do dispite the tech never accually saying what their doing. All of a sudden like magic my speed will be back to a solid 2.6mbps and i wont have a problem......at leat for 2-3 weeks then im back to 0.something. I want to know what the hell is going on that can make my speed get to 2.6 but can be sustained.
