Yahoo emails

I have a yahoo email account. I was hacked. I was told to change my password and I did this successfully. I then went to put the new password in and I was told it is invalid. I cannot get into my email account. Any suggestions how to rectify this situation? When I try to do a new password it still says my password is invalid
