4 or 5 months ago my router went down due to an "outage" for 3 solid days.
Last night, one of the lights on the router turned orange, no internet. Went to bed.
Woke up this morning, still orange, still no internet.
Called Verizon, reported the outage. Was told that it will be fixed with an ETA of 8:00 tomorrow morning.
That's just pitiful. Verizon needs well over 30 hours to fix an "outage"? What could possibly be so wrong that my internet would be down for that length of time? Torando? Hurricane? Typhoon? I checked the weather and didn't see reports of any of these.
If I worked from home, I'd be calling Verizon instead today to cancel and I'd go out and get a new ISP because outages for this length of time are just plain unacceptable.
Pretty pathetic.
Rant over...carry on folks.
