I would like the ION Network but it's not available in my area but I know others who have Fios who get this network. What gives?
Its only carried when some Local station carries it.
Can you explain why it's listed for FIOS in Hamburg, NY, bdoesn't on the screen? Everywhere online, it says its on Channel 21 for FIOS...in my area, but that is not true. Can't receive channel through regular antenna because the reception sucks in Hamburg. Please clarify this. Thank you.
I went to www.verizon.com/fiostvchannels and put in hamburg zip code, and selected hamburg line up, and I don't see channel 21 listed in there.
So I'm not sure where you are checking.
I would also like to know why Verizon does not carry WPXJ 51 (ION Television) from Batavia for all WNY customers? All other cable and satelite providers carry the channel. The only explanation I can think of is that for some strange, bizarre reason Verizon thinks that WPXJ is local to Batavia and is OUTSIDE the Buffalo and WNY viewing area. However, this is absolutely FALSE because it does not require anymore than a standard digital over the air antenna to bring WPXJ in and receive channels 51.1, 51.2, 51.3, 51.4, 51.5, 51.6 in crystal clear HD picture and sound. Though, I would still greatly like to be able to watch ION Television (WPXJ 51.1) on Verizon FiOS though.
C'mon Verizon, get real and wise up- Batavia is NOT outside the local WNY viewing area and should be covered inside WNY. Are there any other more closer ION afiliates for Buffalo? No, because anyone with an OTA can get WPXJ from Batavia.
ION says it should be carried on channel 21, and hopefully then 521 for HD. So, Verizon- WHERE IS THE CHANNEL? There is currently NOTHING on these channels. ION says we should find their channel here, but we don't. Do we need to get ION to contact you about it or will you just get smart and add it on your own soon?
Now would be the best time to get ION for their original holiday movies. Please add it very soon. Thank you!
What channel number is ION assigned?

Depends on where you are located. It is an over-the-air channel that some (many?) stations around the country broadcast on a subchannel. Here in North Texas it is in HD on 526, probably different where you are, if you have it at all, check your Guide.
