Replace Westell 2200 with a TP-LINK TD-8616 ?

I'm thinking of replacing our old Westell 2200 in hopes of improivng our connectivity. It keeps dropping the connection, and I am wondering if it's the modem's fault.

Does anyone have experience with the TP-LINK TD-8616 DSL modem? I saw it on sale for about $26.

No thoughts on that modem, but as long as the modem supports ADSL it should work fine. If you're seeing drop-outs, consider this to also be a physical line problem, which would be more apparent if you hear unusual noises on your telephone line.
