5g home base with mesh question

wondering what adjustment i can make to my tplink deco m9 plus mesh and/or 5g home base (arc version) being used together. before, the mesh extended our prior hotspot signal & speed well through the house, but now when the mesh is coupled with the 5g home base, dl speeds are way down to 50ish on the other end of the house, instead of 300’ish when in the room with the equipment. it just isn’t broadcasting the speed very far. the deco is a foot away from the home base, with both being on one end of the house (best speed location). any ideas to help get the faster speed to travel throughout the 2000 sq ft house?

Check to see what band your devices are connecting to (2.4Ghz, 5Ghz), and also check to make sure your node placement is correct (not too far apart) if you are using Wireless Backhaul between each of the Deco nodes. There is usually a mobile app which will help you with placement. It's also possible you have too many nodes for the topology of your home, and the device is choosing 2.4Ghz because it is the stronger signal.

I recommend making sure the Verizon router is in IP Passthrough Mode as well, and the Deco is using IPv6 Passthrough mode, if you're using the Deco as your primary router. Otherwise, simply connecting the Deco to the Verizon router will put you in a Double NAT situation which causes problems for some applications, usually game consoles and some VPNs.
