My sons step counter stopped today before he went to recess and has not worked since then. I updated software and tried the factory reset bit still no help. Any ideas?

The reset happened but it is still not working. It has trouble locating my son too.
Thanks for the additional information. Just to be sure, is your son still able to call out using the device? Does the Gizmo have any type of damage?
