Asus Router with Verizon Gateway

I have the "ARC" Verizon Home Gateway, and I am trying to set it up with my Asus Mesh Router. I have tried setting up the gateway with the IP Pass-through, but the page keeps "freezing" on Applying Settings. I have tried this 4 times, via WiFi and direct Lan connection. Is there a different/better way to get this done?
