Received new device and ported number over from Sprint. Activate device this afternoon, works for about 45 minutes fine and then suddenly no network. Error states activation incomplete due to the SIM card and to contact support. With support for about 2 hours. Power cycling, factory resets, physically inspecting the SIM card, updating the device, nothing. Finally told to just try again in an hour because sometimes errors just go away. How would I contact them again with no phone? Evidently not their issue, they told me they would call me back when it was resolved. Not certain how since I don't have a functioning phone. Tried with agent support online earlier tonight, again given the scripted power cycle, try resetting, etc.
I understand things go wrong but the complete lack of caring or awareness is stunning. Not a clue what the issue was and to just be told "eh try again in an hour". Had shipping issues as well. The only thing that has gone right in this switch on time was Verizon withdrawing money from my account. Not only same day but same hour. I can see where the importance lies.
