Restoring texts messages from a blocked number

Is it possible to see texts from a number you have blocked? I know for sure this person's number I blocked still texts me. I got a voicemail from them saying they still do. I've tried googling it and there seems to be a way to retrieve the blocked texts but I cannot figure it out. The step by step process I've tried just keeps sending me in a loop. I have a Samsung Galaxy s23
