I have a Verizon in ground box in my yard that has been breaking more and more over the years. The lid is broken in half now and floats away with rain. The entire box walls are just crushed and caved in, and it just fills with water during any rain we get. It's also right next to the alley entrance where families/kids walk and ride bikes. After many phone calls, I had a tech come out over a year ago to confirm it needed replacing but I never heard from anyone again. Due to the walls crumbling away, it's below the grass line and hard to see. I witnessed a fire fighter almost fall into it while trying to guide a fire truck on our street. This and all the 3 ft tall boxes throughout my alley are all busted, fallen over, wires exposed, and I don't understand why it's so hard to get someone to fix these given the health and safety hazard.
