For some reason it won't let me register my phone number here. Says it is not a Verizon phone number. Any suggestions
If you just ported your number into Verizon, it can take a couple of days for everything to be completed, depending on who your old carrier was. You should get a text saying the port is fully completed when it's done. Then you will be able to register on My Verizon.
