Blocked Numbers for Calls / Messaging

I recently added 1 of 5 blocked numbers for CALL/MESSAGE Block feature.

I was just curious as to what happens when someone tries to call that number. Does it just ring forever? Does it tell the caller that this number is currently not active?

 

Also, same question for messages. If that blocked number text messages me, will the get a text in response saying anything?

Callers you have blocked will hear "Welcome to Verizon Wireless. The number you were trying to reach has calling restrictions which has prevented the completion of your call."

People attempting to text to your number will get a notification that delivery failed.
