When I started the search for an alternate internet provider, Verizon seemed to be a natural choice considering that they are our cell phone provider and their national marketing of this service.
Unfortunately, it was not a great experience from the start, having been told that I could get this service, picking up the equipment, and trying to get it set up (after having spent an entire weekend and then some trying to do so), only to be told that the service was not available to me. While this was frustrating on its own, it was only just the beginning of the issues I had.
I had to return the equipment and was told to bring it back to the store in order to do so. This kicked off a months long struggle (just ending the week of April 14th and having started February 21st!). In this time, I repeatedly got conflicting answers regarding how I was supposed to return the equipment and was even charged for missing equipment that I didn't have.
To make a long story short, it was very clear that nobody knew what they were doing, and despite their assurances to the contrary, that they did not value my time, which they were perfectly fine wasting in their incompetence in this situation. This seriously made me reconsider whether I should remain a Verizon customer. I am still evaluating honestly. Be cautious with this service.
