Phone Lock Code problem

My son's phone was vandalized, and someone changed his Phone Lock Code on him. How can we find out what the # is now to unlock his phone for use?

He has a Verizon LG Accolade VX5600

Please help? Thanks.

Dial *228 and choose option 1 - that will set it to the last 4 digits of his phone number. You can also call customer service (*611 from the handset or 800-922-0204 from another phone, which would be preferred) they can help you.

Actually, if the phone is locked they probably can't dial *228. And customer service can't remotely unlock the phone AT ALL. The only way to get it unlocked, honestly, is to take it to a technician at a VzW corporate store. Here's hoping there's one nearby that has a technician: many stores do not. May help to call in advance to find out if your local store has a tech.
