Hello everyone!
I am writing to you from Italy, as I can't find any Verizon operator I can contact, so I hope you can help me at least.
Let me explain the situation: for a couple of days I was getting a pop up in iPhone settings that said verbatim: "An eSIM US Mobile is ready to be configured on iPhone." I ignored the prompt for a while until, intrigued, I clicked on it and activated it by mistake...Now I am very worried that it might be a sc*m, because in addition to my number, with my Italian operator, I have an active Verizon eSIM with a US number. When I realized this, I immediately deleted the eSIM, but the Verizon plan still appears to be active (I specify that I have never activated any plan with this operator and there are no payments on my card).
For completeness, I also write you the message that appeared when I deleted the eSim: "The eSIM will be deleted and the phone number **** will no longer be associated with iPhone, however your cellular plan will not be cancelled. Contact Verizon to get a new eSIM or to cancel the plan."
In your opinion, could this be a sc*m? Having first activated and then immediately deactivated the sim, could my account still be compromised? What can I do to talk to someone from Verizon from Italy? Please help me, I am very concerned. Thank you
