Blacklisted iPhone

Hi there,

so I recently bought an iPhone 15 from a guy on OfferUp. Everything looked legit at the time of purchase I checked the imei and the serial it was all valid, after I got the phone and finished setting it up I found out it was blacklisted!! This is very unfortunate as I really needed this phone to work, took me awhile to save and buy it. Next day I called the police and they said to try contacting Verizon as there was nothing they could do, I really hope someone can help out. The seller also deleted they’re account too so there was no way I can contact them

I'm sorry to hear you have a blacklisted phone. i hope you can work with the local law enforcement to get a refund. -Joe

I don't use that site, but have you tried to contact OfferUp directly to see if they've got some way to refund your money? Unfortunately, this is a common problem with buying phones from 3rd party sites. If OfferUp doesn't have any means of refunding you and the seller deleted their account, then you're out of luck.
